AUGUST 2002 MEETING UPDATES

The Sauganash Community Association held its monthly board of directors’ meeting on August 27, 2002.

Two new directors were approved at the July meeting, Joseph McHugh and Ray Knoll.

An $800 donation was approved for Sauganash School to help fund a new bricked-in sign in front of the school.

A donations committee was established which will be responsible for approving disbursements from the Sauganash Community Association.  It will be chaired by Joan Biebel, the first vice president, and comprised of the last three presidents:  Moira Pollard, Pat Loftus, and John Maunsell.  They will have authorization up to $500 without board approval.

A new site for our annual holiday party was discussed.  A committee was selected to look into a few options.

There was a report regarding rodent control in the neighborhood.  It is important that any garbage cans that have holes in the lids or covers be replaced.  This can be accomplished simply by calling 311.  The City of Chicago will come out and replace your garbage cans free of charge.  Also, if you see a rat, call 311.
