A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community Assn. was held on August 22, 2006 at the North Shore Community Bank.

President Dennis Hammer called the meeting to order at 7:01pm.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

The treasurer's proposed budget was reviewed and approved subject to revisions.

The association wishes to thank Andy Ginocchio for his dedication and hard work serving as the Association Membership Chair. Unfortunately, Andy has resigned due to personal commitments.

Kudos to chair, Jennifer Costales, and other volunteers who worked on the 2006 Fourth of July party and picnic. It was a huge success and was attended by hundreds of Sauganash families of all generations. The new obstacle course was extremely popular as well as the other attractions. A search has begun for next year's chair.

The Sauganash Design Committee is looking into finances to hire an intern person to put together a Sauganash design booklet with input from their research. This project has the full support of Ald. Laurino. Following a lengthy discussion, it was decided that the Committee will report back next month with more information.

Neighbors, Jennifer and Tom Martin, have generously volunteered to chair the Bob Perkaus Memorial October 5K Run. It will take place Sunday, October 1st. Sponsors and volunteers are being sought to help with the race activities. Please call the hotline 773-777-3393.

The Sauganash community sign has been replaced at Kostner and Peterson.

Plans for the Holiday party were discussed.

Residents need to be reminded to call 911 when suspicious activities are noticed.
