FEBRUARY 2006 MEETING UPDATES
A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community Assn. was
held on February 28, 2006 at the North Shore Community Bank.
President Dennis Hammer called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. A motion to accept
the financial report was approved and accepted.
The board discussed a donation to the Edgebrook Library for plant services.
A formal vote was postponed pending research on what was done in past years.
A discussion regarding real estate permits and variances disclosed that
sometimes the work being done does not seem to reflect the permit or
variances that have been granted. Information about permits and variances
will be published in the Sauganash Sounds. This will help educate the public
so that they will know what to expect and what can and cannot be done
legally on property in this neighborhood.
There will be an open meeting at the Sauganash School on May 9th at 7:00
P.M.
Plans for the 4th of July were discussed including ideas for adding music
for next year's parade. Volunteers are needed. Please contact the hotline
(773-777-3393) if you can help.
The group talked about next year's Holiday Party. It is tentatively set to
take place at Moher's restaurant in Edgebrook on December 1st.
We are looking for a new sign company to replace the damaged and missing
community signs. We have had no response from the sign company which we
previously contacted.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
