The real estate committee reported that a portion of the property located on the North Side of Peterson just east of the bike trail has been sold to Midland Realty.  A meeting with the Alderman is scheduled for February 10 to discuss proposed plans by the new owner for the site.  Additionally it was reported that the Sauganash Restaurant has been closed.  The new building being constructed on the East side of the 6100 block Cicero will be completed in the spring.

A proposed change by the Association By Laws Committee was approved by the Board.  The newly approved wording is as follows:

Section 10:  Forfeiture of Office

Any Director who shall be absent from three consecutive meetings of the Board of Directors during a fiscal year and who does not give a reason for his or her absence to the President or First Vice President, either prior to the absented meeting or within three days thereafter, shall forfeit his or her place as a member of the Board of Directors.  An officer shall give written notice to the Board member of his or her forfeiture.

The Sauganash Chamber requested the board’s support for a referendum to allow alcohol to be served on a portion of Cicero and Peterson.  After discussion, the Board decided that they would prefer to wait until a tenant or owner presents a proposal for change on a case by case basis.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
