JANUARY 2009 MEETING UPDATES
A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community Assn. was held on January 20, 2009 at the North Shore Community Bank
President Jennifer Costales officially called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.
The October minutes were approved.
The membership committee reported that membership is 672 as of January 20, 2009.
The Treasurer’s report was discussed and revised. It was reported that the Shirley Marx Foundation gave the Association a donation of $1000.

The SCA snowplowing program was discussed and motion was made and passed to increase the number of plowings if the weather warrants.
The community Spring Fling party is scheduled for March 1st at 3:00 to 5:30 PM at the El Primo Canto Restaurant in Edgebrook.
The Design Committee booklet is going to press in the next week or two.
Dissemination of crime reports to the community was discussed.
The Blue Cart Recycling Program will be coming to our community beginning some time in April. Interested members of our group and the community can attend a public meeting at the North Park Village Nature Center, 5801 N. Pulaski on January 29, at 7:00 P.M..
The issue of flooding in the
The Chair of the Committee to control the emerald ash borer presented a report on the issue of this threat to our ash trees. The committee is putting together information to be presented at the open Community Association meeting to take place in May
Plans for the 4th of July celebration are in progress. Event Chair, Renee Bennett, is looking for volunteer help for this popular community event. Members of the Community can call the SCA hotline, 773 – 777-3393, and leave their name and number and she will contact them.
