MARCH 2003 MEETING UPDATES

The Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community Association met for their monthly meeting on March 25, 2003, at 7:30 p.m.

As a follow-up to ongoing discussion regarding snowplowing, a committee was formed to investigate the issues and report back to the board:  Tom Kloempken, Rob Dooley, Phil Kritzman & Bob D'Agostino.

The former Glenlake Garden Center property at the corner of Kostner and Peterson is being looked at as a possible site for a North Shore Community Bank.

Regarding the Cicero and Peterson site, Alderman Laurino is meeting with Imperial Realty and Whole Foods.

Concern was expressed by a board member questioning a possible solution to traffic congestion and safety during school hours on Kilpatrick, between Hiawatha and Peterson.

The question of whether or not to conduct an audit of the books and records of the Sauganash Community Association was broached and discussed.  Some board members will report back next month regarding the possible fees that might be incurred for such an audit.

A motion was made and approved to once again donate $600 to the Edgebrook Public Library to help pay the plant rental fee.

A motion was made and approved to donate up to $750 to the Alzheimer’s Center.  This donation is with our sincere gratitude for use of their facilities for our monthly board meetings.
