A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community
Association. was held on March 28, 2006 at the North Shore Community
Bank.
President Dennis Hammer called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A motion to accept the treasurer's report was approved and accepted.
Membership total for the Association currently consists of 782
households.
The Board discussed how to include the new Whole Foods condo
residents in our Association.
A real estate design committee is being formed to discuss the
architectural integrity of our neighborhood.
There will be an open meeting at the Sauganash School on May 9th at
7:00 P.M.
Members discussed work to be done and plans for the 4th of July
Community Party. This event is for dues paying members only and the
community needs to be made aware of this fact. Volunteers are needed
so please contact the hotline (773-777-3393) if you can help.
Plans are in the works for the 5K race for fall 2006.
A member of the community has volunteered to fix the flag pole
mechanism at Peterson and Forest Glen.
Trees were severely cut in the 5800 block of Kolmar. Neighbors
should be aware of these city practices. Residents should complain
to the city.
The new bike trail has been delayed due to lack of funds.
Property owners in the 6200 block of Kilpatrick suffered damage from
a car or cars riding up onto front lawns damaging landscaping.
Such vandalism needs to be reported by calling 911 so that the
police district can track these events. One homeowner sustained
$2,300 in damage. All crime in the community should be reported to
911 so we can warrant increased police patrols.
The snowplowing issue was again addressed. The meeting adjourned at
8:25 pm.
