The Fourth of July Committee reported that their first meeting with the Park District went well. The committee met beforehand to clarify their requests in writing. They furnished this information to the Park District prior to the meeting for their consideration.

A motion was made and approved to allocate $1250 to purchase bumpers for the Park.

The O’Hare Noise Committee reported that the City just announced a change to the O’Hare expansion timetable. The extension of an existing runway and the building of a new runway, both flying over Sauganash, has been delayed at least two years beyond the original 2014 completion date due to lack of funds and traffic volume. We hope this change, among others, will lead to the FAA scrapping its official plan to put virtually all night landings over Sauganash.

The 5K Committee will be setting a date for this year's race as soon the schedules for conflicting community events can be ascertained.

The Special Events Committee is working on preliminary plans for this year’s Holiday Party.
