Stella Ress, a Loyola University student, who is working on the National Historic Register application for Sauganash gave a presentation. Many interesting historical facts about our community were presented. For example, Sauganash was built to combat the loss of individuality that city dwellers were experiencing at the time, so a large variety of home styles were built. She presented an overview of the process including an outline of the research done on the neighborhood. She explained the geographic area that the application will cover. The final draft will be presented at the June meeting of the Illinois Historic Sites Advisory Council. She is confident that it will be accepted. A question period followed. For those interested, a power point presentation will appear on the Sauganash Community Association website,
