November 2005 Meeting Updates

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community Assn. was held on November 22, 2005 at the North Shore Community Bank.

President Dennis Hammer called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

A motion to accept the financial report was approved and accepted.

The membership chairman reported that we have 764 members to date.

The holiday party will be held December 9, 2005 at the Irish Heritage Center. This year it will take place in the area across from the pub. A buffet dinner will be served at 7:30. There will be a cash bar and desert donation will be accepted.

The Alderman is working with the real estate committee. The Alderman's office will notify the committee of any administrative adjustments (variances) that are applied for in our community.

The snowplowing contract has been signed for this season.

The president and secretary will meet with the proprietor of the sign shop in Edgebrook to look at options for community signs.

The Sauganash Chamber of Commerce representative reported that the November 17th community streetscape-planning meeting was well received by the community.
The City of Chicago representatives updated the plans for the Sauganash Community project, specifically the corner of Peterson and Cicero where the new Whole Foods will be located. The tentative date for the Whole Foods opening is September 2006.
