OCTOBER 2008 MEETING UPDATES

A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sauganash Community Assn. was held on October 28, 2008 at the North Shore Community Bank

President Jennifer Costales officially called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.

The September minutes were approved with corrections.

The membership committee reported that membership is 599. The Board discussed new ideas to attract more members to the Association.

The Treasurer's report was discussed and approved.

The Bob Perkaus Memorial 5K run was a successful event and plans for next year were discussed.

The spring party will take place on Sunday, March 1st and details are in the making.

The committee to control the emerald ash borer reported that they are researching alternatives to recommend to the community to control this threat to our ash trees.

The Design Committee reported that it is still in the process of getting advertisers for the design booklet. The goal is to have the booklet at the printers by December. A reception for launching the booklet is planned to take place at the North Shore Community Bank in January.

The property for sale by auction in the vicinity of Kostner and Bryn Mawr was discussed. The Board will try to stay informed about the status of this property.

A missing Sauganash Community Sign is scheduled for replacement.

The Board President has written a letter to Mayor Daley in support of the much needed addition to the Sauganash School.

Snow plowing service is being set up for the coming winter.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 P. M.
