This program will benefit the following neighborhoods:
Blue Cart Program - Easy as 1, 2, 3
(1) Collect your recyclables - no sorting needed
(2) Place all your recyclables directly into your blue cart – no bags needed
(3) Put it out every other week for a separate crew to pick up
B | Be confident all your items are recycled with a dedicated cart and crew |
L | Less going into our landfills with more recycled items accepted |
U | Use less money with no blue bags to buy |
E | Easier and more convenient with no sorting required |
C | Cost is nothing and the city supplies your cart |
A | All of us working together to do our part for the environment |
R | Recycling more to conserve the Earth’s resources and energy |
T | Teaching our children how one person can make a difference |
Each of us can make a difference!
- Recycling one ton of paper saves 17 trees
- The energy saved by recycling one glass bottle would light-up a bulb for 4 hours
- Recycling 125 aluminum cans saves enough energy to power a home for one day
