4th of July Parade & Picnic
Our 4th of July celebration steps off on the 4th of July at 9:30 am at the corner of Kostner and Thorndale and the whole community is invited to join in the fun. Hundreds line the streets to watch the parade of marching bands, floats, antique cars and bicycles, local politicians, scout troops, and countless children on decorated bikes and wagons. The parade concludes with a flag raising ceremony and speeches at the war memorial at Peterson and Forest Glen Avenues.
The picnic, open to all dues-paying members, begins at 10:30 am at Sauganash Park with hot dogs, refreshments, games, prizes and activities for all ages.
Bob Perkaus Memorial 5K

Annual Open Meeting
Each year the Sauganash Community Association conducts an meeting open to the entire neighborhood. The Alderman, other City officials, and County representatives are invited to speak, pressing matters are discussed, and attendees are brought up to date with the affairs of the community. There is plenty of time for questions and answers.
Don’s miss this unique opportunity to speak directly with those who have direct impact on the quality of life in Sauganash.
The meeting is typically held in May at the Sauganash School. Watch for exact dates and details when they become available.
