4th of July Parade & Picnic

Our annual parade typically steps off at 9:30 am with floats, marching bands, a firetruck and more! Sauganash and Sauganash Park residents are invited to join in by foot, bike, wagon, vintage or specialty car, or float at 9:00 am at Thorndale and Kostner. It concludes at the war memorial at Peterson and Forest Glen Avenues with a flag raising ceremony.

The picnic, open to all dues paying members, follows immediately at Sauganash Park. Enjoy hot dogs, refreshments, games, prizes, kids activities and more. Dues may be paid at the picnic.

Bob Perkaus Memorial 5K

Pg6runnersEach year in October we conduct the Sauganash Community Association Bob Perkaus Memorial 5K Run or Walk. Look for exact dates, details and registration information on our News page in early September. To volunteer to help with the run, email scalamom5@aol.com.

Annual Open Meeting

Each year the Sauganash Community Association conducts an meeting open to the entire neighborhood. The Alderman, other City officials, and County representatives are invited to speak, pressing matters are discussed, and attendees are brought up to date with the affairs of the community. There is plenty of time for questions and answers.

Don’s miss this unique opportunity to speak directly with those who have direct impact on the quality of life in Sauganash.

The meeting is typically held in May at the Sauganash School. Watch for exact dates and details when they become available.
